Lower Back Pain Service
Osteopathy for Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is common and can arise suddenly or develop gradually. At our Pimlico clinic, Kevin sees it linked with a strain, changes in activity, prolonged positions, reduced movement, age-related changes or a combination of physical and lifestyle factors. In many cases there is no single damaged structure responsible, and osteopathy does not rely on the idea that the spine is ‘out of alignment.’
Kevin will take a detailed history, examine your movement and relevant clinical signs, and explain his findings in clear language, drawing on his own experience of recurring lower back problems and rehabilitation to understand what daily activity, work and training mean for you.
Where osteopathic care is appropriate, treatment may combine activity advice, gradual return to movement and individual rehabilitation, aiming to reduce symptoms and support a safe return to normal activity.

- An aching or sharp pain in the lower back
- Stiffness or a feeling of restricted movement
- Muscle spasm or protective tension
- Discomfort when bending, lifting or changing position
