What is Osteopathy
What is Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a regulated healthcare profession concerned with the assessment, treatment and management of musculoskeletal pain and movement problems. At NK Osteopaths in Pimlico, Kevin treats back pain, neck pain, joint and muscular pain, movement restriction and recurring musculoskeletal problems, including lower back pain, sciatica, and sports, training and occupational injuries. Every appointment is built around the individual rather than a standard routine, shaped by Kevin’s clinical training and his own experience of long-term back problems, so care reflects your symptoms, goals and clinical suitability.
Appointments begin with a detailed conversation and physical assessment, giving Kevin time to understand your symptoms, relevant history, daily demands and goals. He will explain the likely factors contributing to your problem in clear, straightforward language and agree an appropriate plan with you, so you understand what has been found and why.
Where clinically appropriate, treatment may include joint mobilisation, articulation, stretching and soft-tissue techniques, alongside movement advice and rehabilitation guidance, with referral recommended when not suitable.
